Member's Library

Our French library was established in 2010, and offers more than 5000 books and 200 French movies! Our collection includes literature, novels, theater, history, philosophy, and bande dessinées; we also have an extensive section of youth literature. The library is open exclusively to members, and is a great source for all language learners!

LIBRARY POLICIES

 

The Library of the Alliance Française de Providence is open year round during regular business hours. Library borrowing privileges may be obtained upon presentation of a valid membership card of the Alliance Française of Providence.

 

  • Up to three books and one video may be borrowed at one time per membership card.

  • Magazines may not be taken out of the Alliance library.

  • The loan period is 21 days for books and 7 days for videos.

  • Renewals:

    • Books borrowed may be renewed one time.

    • Newly acquired books and videos cannot be renewed

  • Library users will be fined $ .50 per day per item for overdue items

  • Library users are responsible for the payment of damaged/lost items at current market value.
